Keep it simple applied to bike bags

picked up another pair of Ortlieb Classic panniers at REI SF yesterday..blew out the old ones carrying camera equipment.. and bottom got worn out..

the Ortlieb rolltop bags are really the best.. I've had a pair since the mid-90's..
But now. this new pair; What are these rack adapters? I go to put the bags on my bike rack (a jando mtn bike rack) .. all racks (used to have IRD Expedition rack) used to fit easily.. now, i see, i have to use a plastic adapter that will get lost..or move..or whatever. I don't like this..

are you selling bags that fit the rack without these adapters?

Do i have to buy a new rack to fit this attachment? what rack is that.

Dunno. I may bring them back and just tape up my old ones.. too bad.. I really like them..but suddenly its not so simple..
